I believe this section is so important because onboarding is where organizations see the results of their hiring process. Yes, the metrics are important, and we’ll discuss those in the next section. But onboarding is where all of the strategy, sourcing, selection, and screening comes together. The new hire is starting work.
While some recruiting professionals may not be formally involved in the onboarding process, I believe recruiters need to know what happens. At some point, you might be asked your opinion about onboarding, and you would appear uninformed if you failed to offer any ideas. Trust me; I’m saying this because I’ve been there.
