8.1.11.6.1.1 Badges — More-sensitive facilities require additional protection
to ensure that only authorized personnel enter, occupy, or leave a designated
area. Security badging systems are used to implement and enforce controls to
keep unauthorized visitors out. ese controls include accountability proce-
dures, badge storage, badge recovery, photo updating, handling of lost badges,
and ensuring adherence to procedures.
