A security risk assessment is a project—a rather unique project that requires a spe-
cic skill set and activities, but a project nonetheless. For the security risk assess-
ment to result in a successful eort, the project must be well managed. In this
section, the fundamental elements of project management are discussed. ese ele-
ments are planning, tracking, correction, and reporting.
