13Be Drink Aware and Stop Smoking
Is your drinking healthy?
Many of us drink too much without realizing it. Drinking too much could be having a detrimental effect on you both now and in the future; alcohol overuse is linked to mental health problems, liver disease, 7 forms of cancer and more.
For each of us, the recommended safe limit of alcohol is 14 units a week. Fourteen units of alcohol is equivalent to six pints of average-strength beer or 10 small glasses of low-strength wine. If you regularly drink more than 14 units a week or the effects of alcohol are having a negative impact on your life, it's time to consider reducing how much and how often you drink.
