Peter, an analyst at a venture capital (VC) firm, had spent days preparing a research memo on a technology startup the firm was interested in investing in. There was a video call later that day with the startup’s CEO; Peter would be joining his firm’s managing partner, vice president (VP), and senior associate. Once he finished the memo, Peter sent the document to his colleagues and breathed a sigh of relief. He figured his work was done.
