Static and dynamic responses of coupled thermoelastic problems
Abstract
This chapter discusses the static and dynamic responses of composite structures by using coupled thermoelastic formulations. Advanced Q9 FEs based on refined models generated by means of the UF are used. First the effect of the thermoelastic coupling for the static response of isotropic plates subjected to a static instantaneous thermomechanical load is proposed. Then the investigation continues evaluating the effect of the higher order models on the stress and displacement fields due to thermal loading. An assessment of the temperature profile in the case of steady-state solution is also provided. Finally, thermomechanical dynamic analysis are proposed. ...
