There’s no point in asking a child, or a politician on the witness stand, why they did something. The answer is either “I don’t know” or “I don’t remember.” That’s because children, as well as politicians, don’t like to be held accountable. Your computer is neither a child nor a politician. As such, it dutifully keeps records of what it does, when it does it, and the outcome. The computer is also brutally honest about reporting its activities.
