authorization ID A term used to refer to a DB2-compatible ID (that is, an ID that follows the guidelines for DB2 authorization IDs) used for authorization purposes. Typically, it refers to both the primary and secondary authorization IDs when referring to privilege checking and only the primary authorization ID when referring to object ownership.
primary authorization ID This term refers to the main authorization ID to be considered for authorization purposes and is the ID used for any catalog entries for object owner/definer and for any audit records generated. It usually represents a user’s authorization ID.
