When you first start Visual Basic, the development environment looks like Figure B.1. Although no project is loaded, the environment already contains some tools. The Server Explorer tab on the left lists database connections and servers. Figure B.1 shows information about the server BENDER, the test server used to write this book.
To open an existing solution, select the File menu’s Open Solution command. Use the file selection dialog to find the solution’s .sln file and select it. Figure B.2 shows the development environment with the ExploreServer program described in Chapter 13 loaded.
