Data Link Properties
The Data Link Properties dialog helps you configure a connection to a database. Many of the other wizards use this dialog to let you build a connection if you have not already built one.
To start this dialog by itself, open a new form, click the Toolbox’s Data tab, and double-click the SqlConnection tool. If you are using Access instead of SQL Server, double-click the OleDbConnection tool.
Below the form’s design area, you should see the new SqlConnection object with a name such as SqlConnection1. Click this object and then click the ConnectionString property in the Properties window.
