I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
Example program OrderEntryTabs is a fairly powerful application. It lets the user view and modify data in tables connected by relatively complex parent-child relationships. It shows how a program can display, add, and delete records in both parent and child tables.
Still this program has two serious limitations. First, it can only work reasonably with databases of moderate size. With a few dozen records, this program has no trouble. The user can locate a specific customer’s data from the customer list with few problems. If the database contained thousands of records, however, the user might have trouble finding the right customer data. Chapter 12, “Query By Example,” shows one solution to this problem.
