I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

In addition to the standard security settings shared above, the vDS offers security features not available in the VSS. This includes NetFlow, port mirroring, and private VLANs. NetFlow allows you to send information about traffic flows to a NetFlow collector like SolarWinds' Real-Time NetFlow Analyzer. Port mirroring replicates all network packets to a network analyzer like WireShark. Finally, private VLANs allow you to further segment network traffic within a VLAN to individual or groups of devices.
