So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

- Prepare a guide for email etiquette.
- Identify the percentage of available work time that each person will devote to the project.
- Identify the relationship of the project to other priorities and responsibilities.
- Establish the percentage of time expected for billable work and administrative work (it is unrealistic to expect more billable hours than 80 percent of capacity, particularly if the job requires intense concentration or creativity).
- Work with team members to define the methodology for measuring success (ideally, team members define their own performance metrics).
