Like radio, the television industry has also been deeply affected by the coming of the Internet and the alternate content-delivery methods that it affords broadcasters and others. But there are also significant differences in the way the technology has been applied across radio and television, which are largely functions of business, policy or regulatory issues rather than technical distinctions between the industries.
