I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Rollover index
This API request accepts a list of conditions and a single alias name that must be associated with only one index. If the existing index satisfies the specified conditions such as aging or capacity issues, then a new index will be created and the alias is switched to point to the new index:
- For example, let's use a PUT request to create the rollover-000001 index with its alias, rollover_alias, in the request body, as shown in the following screenshot:
The alias will be created at the same time. The successful response will be 200 OK.
