When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

F. Richard Yu received his PhD in electrical engineering from the
University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, British Columbia,
Canada in 2003. From 2002 to 2004, he was with Ericsson, in Lund,
Sweden, where he worked on the research and development of wire-
less mobile systems. From 2005 to 2006, he was with a start-up com-
pany in California, where he worked on research and development
in the areas of advanced wireless communication technologies and
new standards. He joined the Carleton School of Information Tech-
nology and the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering at
Carleton University in 2007, where he is currently an associate pro-
