6.3 Properties and Performance Analysis of Single-Hop
Mobile Cloudlet
In this section, we first mathematically analyze the properties of
mobile cloudlet based on the modified alternating renewal process
theory. Then, trace analysis and simulations are used to validate our
analysis. Finally, results on mobile cloudlet properties will enable us
to investigate the computing performance of mobile cloudlet, such as
computing capacity and speed, and determine when mobile cloudlet
is competent for executing mobile applications.
