Abstract

This chapter examines how destination management organisations (DMOs) and other tourism stakeholders are partnering with the air transport sector to promote and encourage aviation tourism development. The chapter begins by providing background on why DMOs and other tourism stakeholders are increasingly forming partnerships with the air transport sector. The chapter then considers two main types of partnership that are used: marketing partnerships and funding partnerships.
