It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

In any undergraduate engineering curriculum, students are taught a large amount of calculus in their applied mathematics courses. But, there are gross non-uniformities of coverage, depth and rigour among different classrooms as well as different textbooks. Recapitulation of all that material is neither needed nor possible in the present text.
