When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Building a mind
The following method represents a starting point to build a mind in a machine.
It is based on a cognitive NLP chatbot I successfully delivered many years ago. It was designed for language teaching and would teach a student, but more importantly, it would learn who that student was by memorizing the chats and storing words, images, and sounds. The bot would know more about the student after each session and ask questions about past conversations.
A random memory sentence was produced among many, such as:
Oh, I remember you. You like.....
Then the profile dataset of the person was used to add:
Oh, I remember you. You like + football
The voice was digitized (and a bit bumpy because of intonation problems), but it scared one ...
