So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Vorneweg: Jetzt wird es wieder etwas technischer. In diesem letzten inhaltlichen Kapitel geht es um Reifegradmodelle. Reifegradmodelle beschreiben den Stand der Technik, der sich etabliert hat, um Systeme qualitativ zu entwickeln, und dienen dazu, Prozesse bzw. deren Qualität in einem konkreten Projekt zu beurteilen. Außerdem geben sie Hilfestellung, was eine Organisation wie und an welcher Stelle verbessern könnte. Im Grunde handelt es sich um eine Sammlung bewährter Praktiken, kombiniert mit einer Bewertungsskala, die eine möglichst objektive (d. h. von der einzelnen Organisation unabhängige) Beurteilung von Projekten ermöglichen soll.
