How to lay out a stationery system

Good stationery is much more than just a logo on paper. In fact, very handsome stationery may have no logo at all. Beneath the surface is a “system” by which each piece relates to the others in an orderly way—when seen together, the letterhead, envelope and business card appear as family members; taken alone, each makes an intelligent statement.

A system approach will quickly bring order and style to your designs. It has other advantages, too: Its orderliness is easy to live with for a long time, and a system adapts readily to a wide range of uses. The basic package may later be expanded to include fax covers, invoices, memo sheets, ...
