I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How it works…
Unfortunately, at the time of writing this book, the plugin was not ready to be used with Bootstrap 4. However, with some research into the issue threads on the plugin's official GitHub repository, we were able to find a developer who had similar requirements and successfully ported the plugin to Bootstrap 4 prerelease.
To make the plugin work with Bootstrap 4 alpha.6, we had to CDN the CSS and JS files from GitCDN. For our HTML structure, we added some minimal markup in recipe06-04.ejs using the select HTML element. All that was left was to slightly tweak the CSS for the dropdown to make the custom select element fit in perfectly with the rest of the Bootstrap 4 styles.
