I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Reason four – languages that you know/same language in the frontend and backend
If you know JavaScript, then you may choose to use Node.js as your backend. There may be many reasons for choosing to do this, and one of them may be that you can hire JavaScript developers for the team. Let's just delve into that for a minute: at the time of writing, there is a skills shortage in the IT industry (at least in the UK); if you can isolate a single skill that you need to recruit for, that surely makes you job easier because, in addition to the developers that program C# and JavaScript, you could employ JavaScript-only developers or developers that use Python, Ruby, VB.NET, or any backend language and use JavaScript for the frontend—in fact, anyone ...
