As Jade waits for her younger daughter Carla to finish her after-school karate class, she finds herself thinking yet again about the changes she wants to make at Moment Jewelry. After that initial senior staff meeting where she tried—unsuccessfully—to bring up the need for major change, everyone has avoided the topic . . . especially her dad. In the last two meetings James and Rajiv were clearly waiting for Jade to say something whenever a “change-ish” issue came up, but everyone else has been doing a great impression of nothing-to-see-here, business as usual.
