In Selecting a Suitable Problem to Solve, you were asked to select a problem in which everyone was on equal footing; you then worked through a recipe for mobbing and (hopefully) applied that recipe to a few katas before moving on to regular work. As you start to mob on regular work, you’re going to encounter a few challenges with recipe you’ve been using.
With the katas, you selected problems where everyone was on equal footing; with regular work, the people in the mob will have a different level of expertise or familiarity with a portion of the code base, mostly because the team is still using and relying on the knowledge they had when working on their own.
