So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How upskilling from within through collaborative learning can guide the employee journey
Collaborative learning is at its core a human-driven knowledge production system. It is implemented in the context of organizations and leverages digital technologies, but without the support and engagement of learners it doesn’t matter how good the content is or how often an executive reminds their employees of the importance of learning; it will fail to deliver results. As we saw in the previous chapter, making collaborative learning the foundation of an organization’s culture is an important step toward achieving employee buy-in of this approach to people development.
