I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

In 2009, multinational healthcare company Roche acquired the California-based biotech company Genentech. During years of integrating the companies, Roche decided to close its US headquarters based in Nutley, New Jersey. This was a major decision. It wasn’t just its US headquarters, it was a historic site, having developed many of Roche’s most iconic pharmaceutical products. But more important, the decision impacted thousands of people who would be laid off, moved to other positions, or asked to move to other locations.
