Among the iPhone’s advanced image editors, Iris Photo Suite (Pranav Kapoor; $1.99) is notable for its ability to allow you to blend images with the Layers feature. That’s not to say Layers is the app’s only stand-out feature, because Iris includes a full complement of tools for altering your images, but its Levels controls rival those in PhotoForge. And among iPhone image editors, it has some of the most sophisticated one-touch filters, especially when you want to generate a sketch-like portrait.
