13Mulligan
The four tired friends followed the hostess through the busy steakhouse and out to the balcony overlooking the course. They ordered their drinks and settled in to talk about their day of golf. Surprisingly, although most of their attention was focused on business development, they all played one of their best golf games ever. They chatted quietly about their favorite part of the course, relived some of their best places, and playfully jabbed at each other over small mishaps and mistakes.

“You know, I'm so glad we did this. Our annual get‐together always means so much to me, but having Austin here and having you guys really pour into her with your wisdom and experience, it's just priceless. She has been cultivated into a fine young lady. I'm so thankful for you and your years of friendship and everything you've taught me,” Alex said seriously.
“Cheers to good friends, and good golf!” Bobbi said, raising her glass.
“And Professor Hightail,” Alex added as they clinked their glasses together. They perused the menu and ordered swiftly when the waiter came back to their table.
