On the Personal Side
The psychologies of Entitlement, Fear, and Earning are not restricted to the marketplace. This chapter explores those attitudes as they affect our personal lives, especially within our families. The nonbusiness issue that comes up most frequently is parents’ fear that because they did something terrible in rearing their children, the kids now feel entitled. Less common, but not unusual, people describe their elderly parents as being in Entitlement. It is much rarer that people express concern that a spouse, much less themselves, might be there too.
