It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Before installing DB2 product, it must be ensured that you meet prerequisite requirements of hardware and software components such as disk, memory, communication, operating system and so on, as discussed in previous sections.

Follow the following steps to install IBM DB2 Universal Database Server Version 8.1:
