So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Description
The IsMemoryManagerSet function returns True if
the memory manager is different from Delphi’s default memory
manager. You can set a different memory manager by calling
SetMemoryManager.
IsMemoryManagerSet is a real
function.
Tips and Tricks
If you are implementing a new memory manager, presumably you know
whether your code calls SetMemoryManager. The
utility of IsMemoryManagerSet is to know whether
functions such as GetHeapStatus are meaningful. If
IsMemoryManagerSet returns True, you should assume
that GetHeapStatus will not return any useful
information. Consult the documentation for the new memory manager to
learn what function, if any, replaces
GetHeapStatus.
