A Research Agenda
Many detailed suggestions for further research have been given in [Brown 84]. We
will present some of the main ideas here. These will be divided into Improvements to
the DSPL System, Problem-solving in DSPL, and Other Research directions. These
suggestions move from specific suggestions about support tools for building DSPL-
based systems, to improvements to the problem-solving power of DSPL, to general
suggestions about what topics should be pursued by Al in Design researchers.
