This tool would be a first-cut knowledge acquisition
tool.
It would not know about
the domain, as a full blown acquisition system would need to, but instead would know
about DSPL and its use. It would guide the user through a session of writing DSPL,
keeping track of things already written and things yet to be expressed. It would
prompt the user whenever he or she doesn't know what to specify next. An editor,
indexer, structure display and help system could all be used during the gathering
process to keep the user informed.
