When I’m working with an unfamiliar design tool, I like to start with a simple project. This is a particularly good idea when dealing with EAGLE, whose user interface takes some time to get used to. For this reason, this chapter walks through the design of a basic inverting amplifier that contains only five components. In this whirlwind tour of EAGLE, I’ll explain how to create the project, design the schematic, place the components in the board editor, route the connections between them, and generate Gerber and Excellon files.
