So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Define Data Governance
Before you select a data governance framework, go more granular and define data governance. It’s an admittedly nebulous term that can seem to mean everything and nothing. Depending on your background, business, and a range of other factors, data governance can seem academic or irrelevant, even if you work in a data-focused role.
Data governance is a multidisciplinary approach to making and upholding standards that manage data at scale. It helps organizations assess data sourcing, quality, and security at all stages of the data pipeline, from receiving the first spreadsheets with raw data to monitoring that data’s quality once it’s in production.
