When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
A Final Word
The e-learning industry has grown and changed dramatically. Throughout what has now become decades of work for me, the men and women who also work so passionately in this field have been not only patient but also supportive of my rants and raves. I am so very grateful for the good humor, support and encouragement I’ve received.
Undaunted, I’m continually pushing for reform. This book presents perhaps my hardest push, because in researching and writing it, the task brought together a perspective and some solutions I’ve been searching for. It’s based on the realization that even perfectly designed e-learning, as we’ve defined it in the past, isn’t sufficient to achieve the behavioral changes it’s being used for.
