Developing and maintaining a design–tech portfolio can be a structured and well-organized job; however, we have to remember that in its very nature it is more of an organic process than a scientific one. This is why it is important to assess where you are in the development of your showcase on an ongoing basis; you need to integrate feedback and keep your perspective as you move forward. As you archive your work, you should consider what to put aside for the portfolio and do some loose planning for when it is time to update it.
