It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Utilities such as Tasker make assembling and running scripts on your Android device a breeze. Yet for those who are already fluent with a favorite scripting language, several popular choices have been ported to the Android platform. Even though many of these languages were created in an era when servers and desktop PCs were the intended hosts to run the scripts, the Android ports presented in this chapter have been retooled for the mobile experience.
