Digital fields processes signals, like temperature, pressure, and light. The processing of these signals requires accurate signal conditioning and signal conversion. These processing systems form an integral part of instrumentation and high-performance integrated circuit (IC) technology. High precision processing requires a low noise ratio. Thus, to create these devices is a challenge in today’s applications the analog conversion is needed. The most common analog-to-digital conversions (ADCs) and digital-to-analog conversions (DACs) are described in detail in this chapter.
