¿Qué son los contenedores?

Puede que estés familiarizado con los sistemas de virtualización como VMware o KVM, que te permiten ejecutar un núcleo y un sistema operativo Linux completos sobre una capa virtualizada, conocida comúnmente como hipervisor.
