Abstract
In the rapidly changing and evolving space of cyber threats, the current traditional security models for databases are not doing enough to stop attacks that are becoming more advanced and dynamic. DB-GuardIA is a state-of-the-art AI-based framework developed to protect next-gen data base systems by leveraging external multiple and adaptive layered security features. In contrast to traditional methods, DB-GuardIA employs innovative paradigms like dynamic anomaly detection using Graph Neural Networks (GNNs), Behavioral DNA Profiling (BDP) for jolting insider threat, and Blockchain Audit Trail (BBAT) for non-repudiable auditing. A Self-Healing Database Layer (SHDL) autonomously fixes data integrity issues while protecting availability and robustness. DB-GuardIA adopts Explainable AI (XAI), ensuring the transparency of decision-making, which is a major requirement for compliance and trust. Its applications range from critical sectors like financial services, detecting and preventing fraudulent transactions, healthcare, protecting sensitive patient records, and e-commerce, securing user data against breaches. The architectures of DB-GuardIA, its proposed contributions, and level of improvements over ...
