It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

An EPG plan maps out a journey between a point of departure, with defined tollgates along the way, to a destination, which is a vision of future success where a transformed state is expected. The plan outlines steps for implementing an overall governance of portfolios, programs, and projects through direction, control, assurance, and support by people across the organization’s strategic, tactical, and operational layers. The resulting deliverables of this plan become a guide to consolidating the policies, standards, and lessons learned resulting from the implementation of the actions involving the EPG framework.
