7.3. Creating a Routing Group Connector
Problem
You need to create a new RGC.
Solution
Using a graphical user interface
First, enable viewing of routing groups in the Exchange System Manager:
Open the Exchange System Manager (Exchange System Manager.msc).
Right-click the organization container and select Properties.
Check the Display routing groups and Display administrative groups checkboxes.
Click OK.
Close the Exchange System Manager. The configuration change will apply the next time it is launched.
Next, create the new RGC:
Open the Exchange System Manager (Exchange System Manager.msc).
Expand the organization→ Administrative Groups→ target administrative group→ Routing Groups→ target routing group.
Right-click the Connectors container and select New → Routing Group Connector.
On the General tab, enter a name for the connector.
Specify the remote routing group by choosing it in the Connects with this routing group list. Modify the route cost as desired.
If you wish to specify local bridgehead servers, select These servers can send mail over this connector and designate one or more virtual servers in the local routing group.
On the Remote Bridgehead tab, select at least one virtual server in the remote routing group to be the remote bridgehead.
Click OK to create a new one-way connector with default settings. If you have permissions in the remote routing group, you will be asked if you want to create the RGC in the remote routing group. Click Yes to create a corresponding RGC in the remote ...
