About the Authors
Carolyn Abram is a writer. She was the first user of Facebook at Stanford in 2004 and worked for Facebook from 2006–2009. She has used Facebook every day for most of her adult life, acquiring 805 Facebook friends. Despite that, she managed to receive a BA from Stanford (’06) and an MFA from California College of the Arts (’12). Her short fiction has appeared in New California Writing 2013, Switchback, and The Offbeat. Her essays have appeared in McSweeney’s Internet Tendency and Lilith online. She currently lives in Seattle with her husband, children, and dog.
Amy Karasavas is a sommelier. She was an early employee of Facebook, working there from 2007 to 2010. She currently leads wine tastings and classes through her company, That Pour Woman. She lives with her partner Michael and their two dogs in Brooklyn, NY.
