I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How to do it...
Let us first see how to configure Android applications:
- Fire up your Android Studio, and head directly to your build.gradle file.
- Add the following line underneath your already present dependencies:
compile 'com.google.firebase:firebase-core:11.0.4'
- Now simply save and sync, and Android Studio will simply download and configure your project accordingly!
Congrats! You've successfully configured your Android application to host Firebase analytics!
Now let us check how this is done for iOS:
We're using CocoaPods in order to download and build dependency trees within our iOS application:
- Open up your Podfile and add the following line underneath your already present dependencies:
pod 'Firebase/Core'
- Now, in your terminal ...
