Designing quests is like telling a story in a virtual world. The virtual world is an interactive environment. Therefore, we have to avoid designing quests that bind the players too much. We have discussed different presenting methods of quests and how we can integrate the quests into the virtual world. The quests are like a guide that guides the players to explore the virtual world step-by-step. The more interesting the quests are, the more players will like to stay in the virtual world.
In the next chapter, we are going to see how we can improve the interaction between the players by implementing socialized features and integrating an existing social network.
