It began with a call from the art buyer. Her creative director had seen our ad in the Workbook and she wanted us to bid on a project for the New Orleans Tourism Board. The assignment was to capture images of classic New Orleans dishes—shrimp creole, po-boy sandwiches, and beignets. Normally I prefer to work in my studio with all the control that it offers, but as we talked it just seemed to make sense for us to shoot on location.
