Chapter 8. Selling Bac’n

DURING THE FIRST few months of Bac’n’s life, whenever we talked about the business we were just as excited to discuss how we’d built the site as we were to talk about bacon. We understood that we were on the cusp of technology that would allow many more companies like this to happen, and we loved sharing our experiences. As a result of some of those conversations, in May 2009, we were invited to present at an interactive conference in Portland, called WebVisions. WebVisions covers all aspects of interactive, mobile, and “the web.”
